IEC GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS & UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST OF SCOTLAND INK THE MOU ON 28TH JANUARY, 2014

The 28th January 2014 marked the formalization of collaboration between University of the West of Scotland and IEC Group of Institutions for the delivery of Joint Degree Program in Business Management.

 

Combining academic expertise with state of the infrastructure, the IEC Group provides services to students that meet international regulations. “We take pride in our multi-disciplinary approach which has enabled us to host a number of collaborative knowledge transfer partnerships, said Dr.Naveen Gupta.

 

The delegation comprised of team of academic members from University of the West of Scotland, Dr. Heather Tarbert and Dr. Pravin Balaraman. A complimentary team from IEC Group constituted of President Mr. R.L. Gupta, Dr.Naveen Gupta, Dr. Kulneet Suri, along with academic members from B-School.

 

Dr.Naveen Gupta said, The program offers best of two worlds, since students enjoy the global curriculum, small batches in each classroom, personal attention from faculty of IEC and professors to come and teach from University of the West of Scotland. Learning, teaching and assessment methods focus on providing students with engaging contemporary methods which link theory to practice and require them to take a critical perspective on both. The students enrolling on to this program will have a cutting edge for the students to be a part of the elite’ workforce.

 

The team from University of the West of Scotland and IEC also opined that, this innovative program shall help students to mould themselves for the growing business sectors in all domains.

 

The cost of the program has been decided keeping in mind the optimum paying capacity of Indian students said Dr.Naveen Gupta.

 

On the occasion Dr.Naveen Gupta remarked, the program has a multi-professional approach which enabled students to develop the knowledge and skills required to continue at a more advanced level and enhance their professional/ career development in business houses.

 

Dr.Kulneet Suri, Head-International Operations said, that the course will develop in our students a range of practical, intellectual and transferable skills. The students will enjoy some of the best research activities, research informed teaching corporate skills – an experience which has just been enhanced with a the collaboration between University of the West of Scotland and IEC. We also recognize the importance of such partnerships and therefore we are developing close links with organizations relevant to subject areas especially Transnational Organizations for honing corporate skills required.

 

Our Faculty and Professors are dedicated to providing high quality education in a vibrant and supportive learning environment. The department undertakes specialist research, training and consultancy services to a wide range of public and private sector organizations.

 

The Group CEO, Dr. Naveen Gupta said, “the visit concluded at a very positive note with formalization of collaboration i.e. signing of MOU the University of the West of Scotland and IEC deciding to venture forth more collaborative arrangements in the field of Engineering and other disciplines.
