In the Special Interview this week with Ten News, Varun Jain (V.J), Chairman, Co-Founder and National Instructor of Miles Education-CPA and CMA Review discussed at length the various USPs of his organization, the challenges ahead, as well as the reforms needed for the education sector with Bipin Sharma (B.S), Features Editor.

B.S: What is Miles Education all about, and enlist its USPs on a comparative note with your competitors?

Additionally students receive Wiley homework material containing multiple choice questions and simulations, and Wiley online test bank access for mock exam practice. We have a proactive student relations body that provides career counselling, guidance and support in passing the exams, logistics and placements assistance and CPA license assistance to ensure a smooth journey towards CPA for the candidates.

B.S: What is Miles CMA review all about?
V.J: Miles CMA Review is the only specialized CMA Review Course provider in India which delivers CMA education to help candidates attain the CMA designation. We are the official partners of IMA and Wiley in India providing US CMA training using “official” IMA-licensed Wiley CMA-excel learning system. The review course is delivered in a live classroom training format over 24 Sundays across nine cities in India. B.S: What is the EA designation?
V.J: Enrolled Agent (EA) is the highest credential provided by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), which is the tax revenue service of the United States Federal government. Enrolled Agents are American tax experts. They along with attorneys and CPAs have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before IRS. EA’s have extensive opportunities in US

What are the challenges in the education sector today, and thereforms you propose?
V.J: The growth of Indian economy and globalization has demanded that all of us be global citizens. This has put the education sector in India at a crucial phase. While the government support for the education sector has been boosted, it is important to inculcate international concepts into the curriculum of schools and colleges so the students are ready to face the challenges posed to them as global citizens.

B.S: How different is Miles Education from other online testing bodies?
V.J: Miles Education is a course provider and trainer for US review courses such as CPA, CMA and EA. We provide students with all tools (study material, live classroom training and online access to question banks) necessary to successfully pass these exams. These exams are administered by independent bodies registered in the US, and not by
Miles education.

B.S: How do these certifications help in enhancing the job prospects?
V.J: With the increase in globalization and growth of multinational companies in India, it has become important that these companies comply with the complex rules and regulations set forth by governments not only in India, but also in their country of origin. That is where CPAs and CMA’s fit in as global professional chartered and management accountants.
