All India Sports Council of the Deaf stages protest against Union government

All India Sports Council of the Deaf (AICSD) staged a protest on Thursday at Jantar Mantar against the Union Government for neglecting their issues and said that, we are a recognised organisation from Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and International Committee of Sports for the deaf however government is not ready to confer awards to our sportpersons.
AICSD blamed the Union Sports Minister Vijay Goel for being callous towards their organization and said that, we have approached the Minister but he ignored us and his ministry is not confering awards to our players.
They further alleged that, it was highly disheartening and discouraging to learn that in the meeting of National Sports Award Committee which was held on 5th August 2017 the achievement of deaf sportpersons were completely ignored.
