New Delhi, June 30, 2022: On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, the Export Promotion Council of Handicrafts organized its 23rd Handicrafts Export Awards. The awards honor the exporters who have made significant contributions to the country’s development and exports of handicrafts.
Deco De Trend was one amongst those exporters who were awarded. The company started in 2003 in Chennai and is the second-largest exporter of dry flowers in India. They claim their forte to be product development.
“This award is dedicated to every hand that goes into making the product, be it our sourcing team, be it our marketing team, be it our production team, product-development team, just about everyone. It wouldn’t have been possible without any one of those,” said Ashwini from Deco De Trend.
“There is a lot of opportunities because India is growing right now, and people are not liking Chinese products, so we have a good opportunity. Our forte is handmade products as other countries do not have this capability. And raw material is quite an advantage,” he said regarding the opportunities in the industry.
“EPCH is very helpful,” he said. “The fairs that they hold, be it domestic or international, most of our business comes from the fairs. Attracting international customers and giving us a platform, that is quite advantageous for us because every time it is not possible for buyers to go to Chennai, so it is quite convenient,” he said. “Whenever you get stuck in customs or clearances, EPCH helps us a lot,” he said.
“Enjoy whatever you are doing,” he said as a message to the fellow exporters.
