New Delhi, Dec 17, 2022: FICCI recently organised a CEO panel at its 95th Annual Convention and AGM organised in the national capital.
While various discussions and deliberations took place between the stalwarts of the industry,
Alok Kshirsagar, Senior Partner at McKinsey, shed light on how “Innovative clusters are going to be one of the signature achievements of the FICCI-McKinsey joint initiative”.
“What we have seen in our country is that we have lots of people with ideas, lots of good academic research has been done but actually lots of poor translation into commercial ideas..learning from our experiences in Israel, the US, and other countries, we have come up collectively with the idea of creating innovation clusters in 9 key sectors which will bring together academia, research, government support but most importantly bring together startups and big companies in one network to create, commercialize, and scale innovation,” said Kshirsagar.
He added: “Compared to our global peers, we are very good on idea generation but a long way to go on scaling up, on collaborating on a cross-industrial ecosystem, and commercialization.”
During FICCI’s 95th Annual Convention and AGM, the FICCI-McKinsey Whitepaper was presented to Nirmala Sitharaman, India’s Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs.
