New Delhi, 29 May 2022: The Global Trade and Technology Council (GTTCI) of India along with ICUNR, Lions Club Delhi Veg and SMEbiz organised the UN day of PeaceKeepers in New Delhi with the year’s theme “People, Peace Progress, the Power of Partnership”..
“Today, we celebrated the UN peacekeeping day where several ambassadors joined us including diplomats from UK, Russia, Pakistan, Palestine, Nigeria etc . This event was well in cohort with the motto of the UN, all the countries came together. It is also the Women Hygiene Day and we also raised awareness about it too,” said Dr Gaurav Gupta, Founder – President, GTTICI and Lions Club Delhi Veg.
“UN on this day pays tribute to nearly 4200 heros and heroines who sacrificed their lives in the cause of peace. We are deeply grateful to 8700 civilians who are helping to realise the price of peace,” KL Malhotra, GS, Indian Council for Human Relations who read the note by the UN Secretary General, António Guterres.
The event was graced by the presence of several High commissioners, ambassadors, diplomats and Who’s who from New Delhi including Ambassador of Uruguay, Deputy Ambassador of Cambodia, Political and Visa councils of USA, Education and Miltiary Council of Russian embassy, Council General of Comros, Diplomats from Malawi, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Pakistan, Palestine, Burkina Faso, Actor Mr Sahil Seth, Gajanan Mali.
