Today Indian Youth Congress celebrated Shri Rahul Gandhi’s birthday, with zest and innovation/motivation, reaching out to youth of the country. The program began with IYC activists meeting Shi Rahul Gandhi at All India Congress Committee. Here zealous youth of Congress, presented Rahulji with birthday wishes.
Post AICC meeting, IYC celebrated Rahul Gandhiji’s birthday at IYC office, where President Shri Amarinder Singh Raja offered annual fees to thirty one students of Delhi University. These eligible students, due to financial crises, were on the verge of dropping out of college in their second year of graduation. It is a new initiative taken by Youth Congress to reach out to the youth of the country. IYC President Amarinder Singh Raja also told the media that, “Youth Congress has always been in grounds with the young generation and whenever and wherever any individual requires any kind of support in social or economical terms we are there to help them in every possible way.” IYC has set an example, by touching hearts of these lives through an act of breaking discriminatory attitude on monetary grounds.
To bring a humble ending to the day, IYC President Amarinder Sngh Raja along with IYC activists and office bearers donated Water Cooler and paid for the monthly expense (which included expenses on groceries and other essential commodities)of children at Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust, Alipur. With a spark of light in the eyes of these little children, IYC President said that, “they are the future of this nation and we will always try our best to retain that spark in their eyes.”
On this occasion along with IYC President Shri Amarinder Singh Raja, AICC Secretary and IYC In charge Sri Suraj Hegde,IYC Gen Sec. Manish Thakur, Gen Sec. Srinivas B V , Sec and Delhi In charge Sitaram Lamba , Sec. Keshav Chand Yadav, Sec. Rutvij Joshi, Sec. Ravindran Das ,DPYC President Amit Malik and many national office bearers and Delhi state office bearers and hundreds of Youth Congress activists were also part of the occasion.
