Greater Noida News (10 January 2026): The World Culinary Heritage Conference 2026 was inaugurated at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, during the ongoing Indusfood 2026, bringing together global policymakers, culinary leaders, and food industry stakeholders under one roof. The conference was inaugurated by Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, in the presence of Tomasi Tuabuna, Minister for Agriculture and Waterways, Government of Fiji.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by several prominent personalities from the global culinary ecosystem, including Manjit Gill, President of the Indian Federation of Culinary Associations (IFCA); Uwe Micheel, Vice President, WorldChefs; Willment Leong, Continental Director – Asia, WorldChefs; and Mohit Singla, Chairman of the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), along with other dignitaries.
Among the many exhibitors showcasing India’s rich food heritage was Surat-based namkeen brand Jani Farsan. Speaking to Ten News Network, Pratik Jani, owner of Jani Farsan, highlighted the brand’s long-standing legacy and commitment to quality.
Jani Farsan is a legacy brand of namkeen that originated in Surat in 1968. My great-grandfather worked tirelessly to create products of uncompromising quality, and we have been maintaining those standards for decades, Pratik Jani said. Our core philosophy has always been to offer pure, preservative-free namkeen so that consumers can enjoy authentic taste without any harmful additives.
Expanding beyond traditional namkeen, Jani Farsan has also diversified into healthy and convenient food options. We have introduced several ready-to-eat products such as instant Locho, a very popular Surti dish loved by travellers from across the world. In addition, we offer ready-to-eat Upma and Poha, which are healthy, convenient, and suited to today’s fast-paced lifestyles, he added.
Sharing his experience at Indusfood 2026, Pratik Jani said the exhibition provides access to serious and knowledgeable buyers. Indusfood is a platform where we meet genuine buyers who are truly interested in food products. The exhibition is well-segregated, so the visitors coming here are already from the food industry, which makes interactions more meaningful, he said.
He also noted that the event offers valuable learning and exposure beyond business leads. This is our first time at Indus Food, and the response has been overwhelming. We were pleasantly surprised to learn about the strong demand for Indian namkeen in countries like South Africa. The exhibition is not just helping us connect with buyers but also giving us global market insights and strong brand visibility, Pratik Jani remarked.
Appreciating the organisers, Jani praised the coordination and support provided during the exhibition. The coordinators have been extremely supportive, even during peak hours. My coordinator, Pratibha, was always available and ensured smooth participation for our brand. Such support makes a big difference, especially for first-time exhibitors, he said.
Indus Food 2026 continues to emerge as a powerful global platform for showcasing India’s culinary heritage, enabling traditional brands like Jani Farsan to connect with international markets while reinforcing the country’s growing influence in the global food and beverage industry.
