Jaypee Director walks-out of tripartite meet, Buyers plan to meet CM again
Tripartite meeting between Jaypee wish town buyers, Jaypee builders and authority officials culminated on a poor note on Monday. The meeting was called at 12:30PM in Indira Gandhi Kala Kendra situated in sector-6 Noida.
While buyers and authority ACEO Shishir Singh reached on time, there was no sign of any representative from Jaypee Builders.
Indeed after repeated persuasion of authority officials Sameer Gaur, Director, Jaypee Infratech joined the meeting at around 01:30 PM.
By the time buyers were already agitated and Jaypee director has to face heated questions of the waiting buyers. A chaos ensured as different buyer’s simultaneously tried to seek answers of the queries from the Jaypee director.
ACEO Shishir Singh has to try hard to bring house to order. During an interaction of about two hours Jaypee Director Sameer Gaur did not had any satisfactory replies for most of the direct questions of the buyers. Later he also left the venue in a jiffy without informing the gathering.
Delegation of Jaypee Wishtown buyers has also met CM Yogi Adityanath last month. CM has then ordered authority to call-upon tripartite meetings and ensure early resolution of their issues. It was following those orders that this meeting was called. However buyers expressed complete displeasure with the outputs of the Monday meeting and have now reaffirmed to meet CM Yogi Adityanath again.
Speaking to Ten News Jaypee Wishtown Investor S D Mitru said,”We wanted a meeting with Jaypee head honcho Manoj Gaur but on some pretext he skipped the meeting. Even director Sameer Gaur didn’t come to the meeting with any preparation and either dodged or remained silent on most of the queries. We do not plan to attend any such unfruitful meetings in future and would again go back to CM Yogi Adityanath with the feedback of this meeting”.
ACEO Shishir Singh said, “Through director Sameer Gaur, Jaypee has been asked to give program and planning viz-a-viz financial availability also. The reply is expected by 5th of June”.
During the meeting Sameer Gaur has said that they will be getting 6,000 crore from sale of Jaypee Cement and 1,200 crore from Yamuna Expressway which will be all invested to complete these pending projects. He however ignored the demand of buyers to give an affidavit in this regard.
We also tried to contact Jaypee Infratech and Sameer Gaur for their comments on last day’s event but we couldn’t reach him despite calling to several of their offices. Every operator would pass the buck and give a new number and the cycle yielded no response. The story will be updated as and when we get their version of the meeting.
