Jilted lover kills Std X student in UP

Lucknow, Apr 16 (PTI) A 17-year-old girl was today shot dead allegedly by a jilted lover in Gonda district, police said.

Shiv Mangal Soni (30) shot dead the Class X student in Kaudiya Bazar police station area here, police said.

Soni was earlier arrested on January 21 after an FIR was registered against him for troubling the girl and released on bail on January 27, police said, adding that it was a case of one-sided affair.

A case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the accused, police added.
