Know India Programme would connect NRIs with their roots: Sushma Swaraj, Union Minister

The Government has introduced a programme named Know India Programme Portal for young persons of Overseas Indians with a view to provide them an exposure to the country of their origin so that they can understand it better and more intimately.

Addressing the press conference on the launch, Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj said Know India Programme would bridge the gap between the NRIs and their Indian roots.

She further said that, this programme will provide young NRIs an opportunity to have a deeper insight into Indian people and society.

Talking about the strategy of Ministry of External Affairs, she said, we are working towards excellent delivery through effective diplomacy and a new hope lit up the global horizon PM Modi, she added.

She clearly clarified that, I am not in the race of President’s candidature.
