Labourer allegedly thrashed by cop after he refuses to go with him in Greater Noida!

Greater Noida (25/06/2019) : Today a group of labourers halted traffic at Labour Chowk Roundabout around 9 AM in the morning and tried to vandalize the vehicles commuting on the road. The outrage happened after allegedly police personnel brutally thrashed a labourer as he refused to go with him for work.

Every morning labourers from the city gather at Labour Chowk in search of work and from there who so ever requires labour takes them with themselves on daily wages. As per the information a laborer identified as Manoj was standing at the spot when a man came with a car and asked him to accompany him for work. But as the laborer is already booked he refused to go with him. After that, the man lost his temper and thrashed the labourer.

Later police reached the spot took the situation in control as in protesting labourers present there tried to halt the traffic. Labourers present at the spot claimed that the man came out of the car was drunk and police was written over his car. “Our man was brutally thrashed without any reason we demand justice and the accused arrest and a strict action on him.” labourers said

Munish Chauhan, SHO – Surajpur on the incident said “The labourer is working in home of the alleged accused from past 3 days, but today because of some wages issue the labourer refused to go with him after which incident happened. There is nothing like police angle in the incident, we are investigating the matter. Till now we didn’t received any complaint
