Greater Noida (Ten News Network) July 13 : Nearly 400 workers employed at the Greater Noida plant of electronics major LG have gone on strike, demanding streamlined working hours and a salary hike. The strike, they claimed, was also called to protest against the sudden transfer of some members of the workers’ union raising these demands to other states.

On Monday, the strike started after the 11 employees were allegedly not allowed to enter the company premises.

Two women employees, Neeru and Hema Negi, were admitted to hospital after they fainted during the strike, workers claim.

A group of workers met district magistrate NP Singh, who has directed a team comprising deputy labour commissioner BK Roy and sub-divisional magistrate Subhash Yadav, to mediate between the employees and the company.
