Liquid Oxygen crisis affects healthcare services in Noida, Kailash requests admin for help

While on papers, there is no dearth of medical supplies of Oxygen in the state, whereas on ground, many patients and hospitals still seem to be suffering from a scarcity of medical grade liquid Oxygen.
As per our highly placed sources, district’s premier healthcare facility, Kailash Hospital, has to send an ‘urgent Oxygen’ needed mail to the district administration.
Kailash hospital had to face this crisis, as there regular vendor is not able to meet the surge in demand due to ongoing pandemic.
The facility, reportedly, was facing a dearth in supply for units at Sector 27, 71, Greater Noida and Jewar.
Moreover, in a letter, accessed by Ten News, the hospital has informed the administration that as many as 600 patients in its various facilities are Oxygen dependent.
There are 270 Oxygen dependent patients at sector-27 hospital, 110 at sector 71 hospital and 214 at its Gretaer Noida hospital. In allz these three facilities alone face a shortage of 14.2 kilo litre medical liquid Oxygen in 24 hours.
On May 4, SoS the hospital had informed that it only had 4-5 hours of Oxygen left.
