LS Speaker Sumitra Mahajan flags off MPs car rally, Advises to avoid night travel to reduce accidents !

New Delhi: Owing to the road accidents the country lost some great leaders, ministers and parliamentarian and due to their nature of job, leaders spent most of the time on roads. Aimed to create awareness about road safety among Member of Parliaments (MPs), the Constitution Club of India in an association with JK Tyres organised a car rally today.

Lok Sabha speaker and BJP MP, Sumitra Mahajan accompanied with BJP leader Rajeev Pratap Rudy flagged off the car rally from Constitution Club of India.
In the 40-km long car rally number of MPs such as veteran Congress Leader KTS Tulsi, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, Captain Surender Bhatt, Rajeev Pratap Rudy and so on took part in the rally. Total 30 cars have participated in the rally.

While talking in the event, Sumitra Mahajan said, “We have lost many of our leaders in road mishaps. Politicians spent most of their time while travelling and they should follow road safety laws to prevent from any accident.”

“Most of road accidents happen at night, so, I suggest people not to travel after 12 pm and stop where ever you are”, she said.

Following the event, Rajeev Pratap Rudy said, “Every year lakhs of people dies in a road accident due to lack of awareness. Though this car rally we are trying to create awareness among the common man but our parliamentarians too. So should follow traffic rules to avoid any accidents.”

The announcement of winner will be announce on Monday at Hotel ITC Maurya.
