Continuing its 50 year old practice of keeping country’s ancient traditions alive, Luv Kush Ram Leela Committee added another golden feather to its cap when it hosted a grand 11 day Ram Leela celebration around the ramparts of Red Fort in the National Capital this year from 3rd -12th October’2024 during the holy period of Ashvin Navratri’s. With the key objective of inspiring masses, especially the youths, towards the ideals and virtues of Lord Ram and Sanatan Dharma, the Luv Kush Ram Leela Managing Committee has been tirelessly organizing iconic Ram Leela carnival at the Ram Leela Ground, Red Fort since the past 50 years. Renowned artists are flown in from Mumbai every year, and this year too, being no exception, eminent artists took part in the Ram Leela festivity. The Luv Kush Ram Leela Managing Committee comprising stalwarts namely Pawan Gupta (Chairman), Arjun Kumar (President), Subhash Goyal (General Secretary) & Satyabhushan Jain (Sr. Vice President) have diligently worked towards adding more novel components to the earlier Ram Leela celebrations.
A special highlight of Ram Leela this year was the felicitation of eminent Media personalities and Society Achievers. It was the brainchild of senior Media personality Priyanka Aga, C.E.O of P.P Jewellers who conceptualized the idea of honouring Icons who had contributed significantly in their respective fields.
Pawan Gupta, Chairman of Luv Kush Ram Leela Committee who has carved a niche as a “Philanthropist” gave his nod for the idea, following which Media persons were invited for the exclusive event.
Notable among those honoured from the Media Industry included names like Manish Kumar from Doordarshan, RJ Manish Azad (FM Rainbow), Dr. Digvijay Singh (Jansatta), Ranjan Abhishek (Ten New Network), Tushar Kaushik (News Nation), Anchor & TV Host Puja Shree, Pankaj Shrivastava (India Daily Live TV Channel), Manish Awana (Sahara Samay News Channel), Prashant Gupta (Republic TV), Gopal Singh (The Times of India), Virat Sharma (APN News), Mohit Sharma (Hindi Khabar), Vinod Singh (India News), Neelesh Sharma (Surya Samachar), Arjun Chauhan (Social Media Influencer) and Anand Singh (Bharat Express News Channel).
Among the Society Achievers, the first one to be honoured during the course of the event was 10 year Kickboxing Champion Somya Bhardwaj who brought laurels to her nation by winning the bronze medal in the recently concluded World Youth Kickboxing Championship at Budapest, Hungary. This was followed by the felicitation of Rakesh Kumar Sonkar (Social Activist & Hunger Warrior), Sudha Bhardwaj (President of Jai Mata Di Welfare Society), Shreyansh (Teenage Icon & Warrior), Tanuj Sethi (Realty Consultant) and Rajneesh Bhardwaj (Tours n’ Travels Expert).
It was a star studded show on VijayaDashami at the Luv Kush Ram Leela as “Singham Again” team of Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Rohit Shetty made a grand entry at the venue. Much to the excitement of the huge cheering crowds, the renowned Bollywood stars performed Ravan Dahan by setting the effigies of Ravana on fire.
In an exclusive conversation with the media, Arjun Kumar, President of Luv Kush Ram Leela Committee shared, “It is a matter of immense pride that we have successfully hosted yet another grand Ram Leela event in the National Capital this year. Witnessing the huge turnout of devotees and attendees was overwhelming. Showcasing Ram Leela is perhaps the best possible medium to showcase & preserve India’s rich ancient heritage, ethos and culture. It is pertinent on our part to ensure that our Gen Next remains connected with the timeless core values, ethos & customs of our country.”

I have been the Chairman of Luv Kush Ram Leela Committee since the last 30 yrs. Ram Leela is broadcast in 180 countries, and as many as 18 channels stream it live. There are lot of affluent people who have no dearth of finances, but only a few select ones get chosen to host Ram Leela on a regular basis. Thus, we as a team, feel immensely fortunate that we have been chosen to host Ram Leela celebrations every year at the Ram Leela Grounds, Red Fort.”
