Mumbai, Dec 7, 2022: As the ongoing border issue between Maharashtra and Karnataka rages on, the chief ministers of both states talked to each other over the phone and concluded that law and harmony must be maintained on both sides.
On Tuesday, the border issues between both states heightened as vehicles from both sides came under target. The row between both states became more strenuous when trucks entering near Belgavi district were attacked. As Vedike activists pelted stones at the buses, Shiv Sena workers retaliated by damaging four Karnataka buses in Pune.
The border issue is set to be presented before the Supreme Court shortly. Karnataka is due to go for polls in April-May.
Maharashtra deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis stated that they are working towards development, and such an atmosphere between states is not worthwhile, especially since this matter is before the Supreme Court. “If a state doesn’t listen, the issue will have to be taken to the Centre.”
