Man arrested for thrashing his female employee publicly after dispute over salary

Greater Noida:  In an appalling incident, a 25-year old woman employee of a unisex salon in Greater Noida was allegedly beaten up by her employer and his friends over a salary dispute. On Monday, taking action in the incident after the complaint to the SSP office, Police had arrested the prime accused Waseem.

An alleged video of the incident went viral on social media. In the video, the suspects are seen kicking the woman and pulling her hair. The woman said the accused went to file a complaint against her at the police station after the incident on Saturday.

“However, when I reached the police station on Saturday, they took my complaint but did not act on it seriously,” she alleged. A day later, the police registered an FIR against the accused.

As per the reports, the woman who lives in Bhangel joined the Venus Unisex Salon in Knowledge Park II as a makeup artist on March 16. She was kept on a salary of Rs 17,000. The woman had alleged that the owner Waseem demanded physical relations when she asked for a salary.

However, the police said that it seems a dispute between the employee and the employer over the salary issue. She was demanding 17,000 while the employer was offering less. Disagreements lead the matter to escalate.

Police registered a case against the accused under sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of IPC. The four accused had fled away after the incident.
