New Delhi, Dec 4, 2022: A sensational tenth-wicket partnership between Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rahman helped Bangladesh edge out India in the first match of three-match ODI series in Mirpur.
Batting first, India could not manage a paltry score of 186 with KL Rahul scoring 73 runs of 74 balls. Shakib Al Hassan claimed 5 wickets including that of Virat Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma.
Ebadot Hossain of Bangladesh claimed 4 wickets and Mehidy Hasan took one wicket during his spell.
Chasing the 187-run target, Bangladesh’s batsmen fell early but Mehidy Hasan helped beat India with assistance from Mustafizur Rahman.
Hasan remained unbeaten at 38 runs off 39 wickets. His quickfire batting spell included four 4s and two 6s. Bangladesh chased down the total with one wicket and four overs remaining.
