Ministry of #Railways releases rate list of food items on Twitter

ew Delhi, March 22: After receiving numerous complaints of overpricing by the IRCTC registered vendors, the Ministry of Railway on Tuesday released the menu on Twitter. The Ministry requested the passengers to complaints to the authorities if they are overcharged for the food items in the list. The tweet by the Ministry of Railways reads, “Know the rate list of @IRCATERING in case of any discrepancies must reported to @RailMinIndia: We work for you 24×7.”

The move seems to pacify the disgruntled passengers who have been flooding the social media with the complaints of bad quality food served during the journey. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a public sector unit under Ministry of Railways has been overlooking the quality of food items.
