National Street Drama Competition on “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” organized at Galgotias University

Pro Bono Club (an initiative of Nyay Bandhu, Pro Bono Legal Services), Legal Aid Clinic, School of Law, Galgotias University organized the National Street Play Competition, 2023 in collaboration with District Legal Service Authority, Gautam Budh Nagar on the theme on ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. The event was scheduled on the premise of Galgotias University campus. The occasion was graced by presence of Chief Guest Richa Upadhyay, ADJ (FTC) & Secretary DLSA, Gautam Budh Nagar; Guest of Honor Sneha Sharma, Program Manager, Dept. of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, New Delhi; Ankit Kumar, SDM (Sadar) Gautam Budh Nagar and Representative Chair Person of Nagar Panchayat, Dhankaur Deepak Kumar as the judges. Prof. (Dr.) Avadhesh Kumar, Pro Vice Chancellor, Galgotias University and Dr. Renu Luthra, Advisor to Honorable Chancellor, Galgotias University also added grace to the event with their presence. In their address to the students, the guests encouraged students to be pro-active in their duties towards the society for a better future for the whole world. The theme of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ was an underlying concept throughout the event.

The program started with the students of Galgotias University displaying exceptional talent and teamwork through their street play. Teams from universities all over the country had submitted their entries for the competition. Out of them, a few shortlisted teams were selected for physical rounds on campus. All the participant teams made presentations on various topics under the broad ambit of the theme of “Vasudhaiva-Kutumbakam.” The event was marked with energy, confidence, rigor and enthusiasm of the student participants, volunteers, and faculties’ presence. The team from Benett University was declared the winner, with Asian Law College and Lloyd Law College as runner ups for their remarkable performances.
