Metro has become life line of NCR as metro has taken transportation to another level with the widespread and well organised Metro line. Taking a step further from 29th Delhi metro had also become operational on a new route from Kalkaji Mandir to Janakpuri West.

Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line is a hit with commuters and the figures prove that. On its very first day the route received two lakh 89 thousand 413 foot falls. Earlier 81 thousand 880 passengers were commuting on Botanical Garden to Kalkaji Mandir Route. It is being predicted that in upcoming day’s numbers of passengers on this route will increase rapidly.

Magenta line completely becoming operational is also very important as it has reduced the heavy rush on blue line which previously used to receive a footfall of 5 lakh every day. During peak hours it had become very difficult to board the metro.

The new line has also brought domestic terminal of the Delhi airport on the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) network and has snapped travel time between Noida and Gurugram by at least 30 minutes.

Around 45 lakh 35 thousand 392 passengers travel in metro on daily basis. Noida – Greater Noida route will be operational by December 2018 and it is estimated to receive around 65 thousand passengers in its first phase. With time this number will also increase.

Similarly on Ghaziabad metro route it is being estimated that 85 thousand people will commute on the route. So it can conveniently be said that in upcoming future metro will be serving around 50 lakh people in NCR on daily basis. For tackling the heavy traffic DMRC and NMRC had began their  preparations so that passengers can be dropped to their destinations safely and without any inconvenience.
