NHRDN 6th Human Capital Conclave 2018 on ‘HR in the BAR World’ held in Capital!

New Delhi :–  Started in the year 2013, Human Capital Conclave, an annual event, is envisioned as a platform to bring together the best of HR leaders in the industry and potential managers of future. The event includes panel discussions and addresses from distinguished speakers on the central theme of the event. These leaders from various industries offer industry-specific insight on the theme.

NHRDN’s 6th Human Capital conclave was based on the theme “HR in the BAR (Blockchain, AI & Robotics) World’.The Conclave, which saw over 100 participants, provided a platform for HR & other management professionals to interact with panellists and exchange experiences.

Dhananjay Singh, Director General, NHRDN in his welcome Address Said, “This topic of HR in the BAR world is very very real to all of us from our home to office and on the road. Everywhere we see this happening and the role which Block chain, AI & the Robotics is playing in our day to day life it is going to increase only. and today’s delebrations are going to be very very critical because we are going to correlate something Very valuable and meaningful.”

Anand Pillai, Conclave Co-Director & MD – Leadership Matters in his Special Address Said, “Our idea is to actually talk about the theme which is already there. Every time we get into new technology , our tendency is to depend on that so much that we forget what is “there are”at the First place.”

The Managing Director Asia Pacific & EMEA Markets Saviour US INC, Vijay Rai, Addressing the Conclave said, “we are in very interesting time and we are seeing some changes which are happened in the past which created many jobs. so lot of people are very precarious and anxious what actually going to be there. If we look at the context are we aware whats happening , Then we’ll be able to navigate what are the challenges. That’s why we put together this Summit to explore, understand, debate and discuss what’s going to be in the BAR world.”

Rajesh Uppal,Executive Director IT & CIO Maruti India Pvt. Ltd in his Keynote Address, highlighted how rapid changes in technology are influencing people. He Said, “IT and HR both are learning together. IT and HT are being run by the same people in the Organisation. How technology absorption is changing in the world. My sense of absorption, is sometimes you get carried away okay you brought this technology i want to do same as well. It’s not about the Copy paste in the IT Industry because it won’t work.”

Harshvendra Soin,COP Tech Mahindra ltd Addressing the Gathering said, “Well if you have customers, more involvements will make you benifit in a big way. That infact means it’s a business reality. Therefore we’ll talk about Employees experience we’ll talk about Customers experience and we’ll be taking about how it impacts. we need to change at a incredible speed.”

He then opened the discussion up to the panellists.

First panel

The first panel discussion was on ‘Relevance of HR in BAR World’. The Panelist were, Vijay Margassery, National Head- Organizational Effectiveness Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverage Ltd, Vijay Sethi, CIO (Head CSR & CHRO) – Hero Motocorp, Sunil Goyal, COO – Sopria Steria Group and Vijeta Soni, Head Learning Technology & Innovations Reliance Industries Ltd.

The discussion revolved around the
Meaning of Block Chain, Artificial intelligence, Robotics and How prevalent are these concepts in the lndian Corporate Fraternity.The discussion was followed by a question-and-answer round.

The discussion was moderated by Anand Pillai.

Second panel

The second panel, which discussed ‘ ‘Driving Disruption in HR through BAR’ consisted of Neeraj Narang, Director-HCM Srategy & Product Strategy Oracle, Tanmaya Jain, Founder Infeedo.

M Lakshmanan, Head Talent Management Larsen & Tourbo, was the Session Chair of the discussion. Major Topic of the Discussion were, Why BAR is needed in HR Fraternity? And How AI and Robotics will enable HR to Focus more on the humans and complex aspects such as sentiments analysis/pulse surveys and employee feedbacks.

The discussion was followed by a another question-and-answer round.

Third Panel

The Final Panel Discussion was on
‘Going Beyond War’. The Panelist in the Discussion were, Mohir Gundecha, CEO & Co Founder Jombay, Ruchita Sharma, Head HR Guardian Life, Dr. Pearl John, Consulting Director, SHL Group. The Discussion Revolved around, How BAR has been adopted on the Ground and what is the future and how we can be ready for it.

The final Discussion was followed by a Vote of Thanks & Closing.
