Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced today to do away with the quota based reservation for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Castes (OBC) in UP medical colleges in the state.
An order was passed to end the quota reservation for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC castes. This landmark decision comes on the heels of many Educational Reforms been suggested by the new UP Government.
This has come after Yogi Adityanath chaired the second Cabinet meeting on April 11 and took a set of important decisions over a range of issues in Uttar Pradesh. In a short span of time, Adityanath took several decision for the development and betterment of the state. Keeping the focus on education, the UP Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath has also suggested introduction of English Language from Nursery as well as introduction of yoga and self-defence in the schools.
All these steps are being taken and is focussed mainly on improving the overall education quality in education in the UP board. Though this scandalous decision to abolish quotas in Medical Colleges may face huge criticism from various sections.
He told that, “The traditional and the modern should blend. We should have an education system which promotes nationalism but is modern.”
In such a short span of time, several initiatives have been taken by UP CM Yogi Adityanath for the betterment of state and to end corruption.
