Greater Noida (18 April 2025): The 59th edition of the IHGF Delhi Fair, one of the world’s largest fairs for home, lifestyle, fashion, furniture, and textiles, organized by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), commenced at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. The fair was officially inaugurated by Shri Giriraj Singh, Union Minister of Textiles, Government of India, who also toured the exhibition halls and interacted with various participants, showcasing India’s rich handicraft heritage.

At the 59th edition of the IHGF Delhi Spring Fair, one of the largest gatherings of handicrafts exporters and global buyers, Dr. Neeraj Vinod Khanna, the visionary behind Nodi Exports, shared his insights during an exclusive interaction with Ten News Network. Known for its focus on eco-conscious craftsmanship, Nodi Exports stood out by highlighting sustainable lighting and furniture products, earning overwhelming appreciation from buyers across continents.

Calling the IHGF Spring Fair, A wonderful platform for every Indian exporter and artisan, Dr. Khanna emphasized the significance of the event in connecting local talent with international demand.
Exhibitors and buyers were thrilled to explore the fresh range of products. There’s a clear shift toward sustainability, and we are proud to be at the forefront of that movement, he said.

Nodi Exports specializes in premium handcrafted furniture and lighting products. The brand is rooted in traditional Indian artistry but incorporates modern, eco-friendly design innovations. At the fair, their showcased collection reflected a strong commitment to sustainability, which aligns with the growing demand from conscious consumers around the world.

Speaking on what makes Nodi Exports’ offerings unique, Dr. Khanna revealed, We have a dedicated design team that works year-round, traveling internationally to understand the latest trends. This ensures that our products stay ahead of the curve. Whether it’s new finishes, textures, or styles, we aim to be first movers.

This proactive approach to product development has enabled the company to meet the evolving tastes of global markets. Dr. Khanna noted that success in the handicraft export sector often hinges on being first to adopt and adapt to new trends.

A major highlight of this year’s fair was the surge in demand from American buyers. Right now, the most sought-after products are in lighting and furniture categories. What made a huge difference this year was the interest in stock-ready goods. American buyers need fast delivery, often within 90 days, which is a challenge for many exporters, Dr. Khanna explained. To meet this demand, we prepared inventory in advance. The response from American buyers was phenomenal, and we were delighted to fulfill their requirements efficiently.

Interestingly, Nodi Exports saw a higher-than-expected turnout from American buyers, driven by shifting global trade patterns. With tariffs impacting trade with China, many international buyers are now turning to India as a cost-effective alternative.

We weren’t expecting so many American clients, Dr. Khanna admitted. But because of increased tariffs on Chinese goods, India has become a more competitive sourcing destination. A large portion of our visitors were from the U.S., followed by Europe and Southeast Asian countries.

As a message to American businesses, Dr. Khanna conveyed optimism and readiness for deeper partnerships. The United States currently accounts for nearly 40% of India’s total handicraft exports. We see America as a strong consumer market for our products. Our offerings are well-priced, delivery timelines are aligned with their needs, and the quality is world-class. There is massive potential for growth in Indo-U.S. trade, especially in the handcrafted home décor segment, he said.

Based in India, Nodi Exports is a leading exporter of sustainable handcrafted home décor, including furniture, lighting, and lifestyle accessories. Known for combining traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary global trends, the company has built a solid reputation across the U.S., Europe, and Asia for its high-quality, design-forward products.

As the IHGF Delhi Spring Fair continues to be a beacon for Indian artisans and exporters, companies like Nodi Exports are proving that innovation, sustainability, and strategic global engagement are the key to future-ready growth.

IHGF Delhi Fair, running from April 16 to 19, 2025, continues to be a vibrant showcase of Indian craftsmanship and a vital networking hub for exporters and international buyers. With participation from thousands of artisans and over 3,000 exhibitors, the fair covers a wide range of product categories including home décor, textiles, furniture, fashion jewelry, and accessories.

Provisional export figures for handicrafts during the financial year 2024-25 stand at Rs. 33,490.79 Crores (US $3959.86 Million), according to Mr. R. K. Verma, Executive Director of EPCH – a testament to the growing global appeal of India’s artisanal heritage. As the fair unfolds, exhibitors like Dileep Traders continue to push the boundaries of creativity, sustainability, and craftsmanship, strengthening India’s position in the global handicraft marketplace.
