OMG 2 first song Oonchi Oonchi Waadi out: Akshay Kumar Rescues Pankaj Tripathi

Mumbai, 18th July 2023: OMG 2, starring Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, has released its first devotional song, named ‘Oonchi Oonchi Waadi.’ The song honours Lord Shiva and involves both of the key actors.

Hansraj Raghuwanshi, Raahi, and Djstrings composed the music, while Raghuwanshi also lends his vocals to the song. Hansraj and Djstrings, together with Kabeer Shukla, conposed the touching lyrics.

Pankaj Tripathi’s character, an ardent disciple of Lord Shiva, begins the song’s video by worshipping in a lovely temple environment. In his spare time, he sings bhajans and cleans the temple halls, demonstrating his steadfast devotion. When Pankaj’s son struggles to acclimatise to a new school, the plot takes a tragic turn.

He is also shown standing on a railway track in one image, implying a suicide attempt. However, Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Lord Shiva comes to his aid and offers him the courage they need to get through this terrible time in their lives.

Akshay Kumar has previously begged for prayers for the film’s success in a tweet. He wrote, “Need your blessings and wishes for #OMG2, our honest and humble attempt to reflect on an important social issue. May the eternal energy of Adiyogi bless us through this journey.”

The film is the sequel to the 2012 blockbuster film Oh My God, which starred Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Mithun Chakraborty, and Mahesh Majrekar in major roles. OMG 2 is directed by Amit Rai, who is also being credited for writing the script for the film.

On August 11, OMG 2 will be released in theatres. Gadar 2 by Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel and, Jailer by Rajinikanth will both be released on the same day, resulting in a box office duel.
