While most of the schools in Delhi have reopened after the summer break but the future of the students of Ramjas School, Anand Parvat branch is blank as teachers who have been protesting outside the school since June 28th, 2017.

‘We are being forced to take this extreme step due to the inhuman and unethical behavior of the school principal Ms. Sandhya Bindal against the students, parents and teachers. Students and teachers are at the risk inside the school premises as the principal has fabricated false cases students and even parents’, said the teachers of Ramjas School, Anand Parvat.

‘The proof of the same has come out in the form of recordings in which the principal is heard planning against the students. A 7 year old student informed her parents about how the principal tried to strangle and threatened her that led them to change their daughter’s school’’, they added.

Over 48 teachers (which is 85% of School’s permanent teaching staff), 200 parents and ex – students held a peaceful protest last month at Ramjas Foundation, Daryaganj to seek justice since May 9th, 2017, demanding stringent action against the principal. The management closed the school for summer break in advance on May 5th 2017 assuring all of them that the action will be taken but to everyone’s dismay, none has been taken. The similar protest was held outside the school on July 9, 2017 but still no action is taken yet.

Despite running from pillar to post and submitting many representations to the management and the directorate of the Education, the management has neither taken any decision nor taken any action against the arrogant principal’, says teachers and parents.

Teachers feel sorry for the academic loss of the students but they are left with no option and are forced to sit outside the school premises from 28th June 2017 demanding action against the principal as the atmosphere is neither congenial nor safe for both the students and teachers. The situation has enveloped the future of students in darkness causing inadvertent loss of academic terms both for students and teachers especially for those in Class X and XII. The students are quite clueless in the present scenario of a deadlock.

“It’s a matter of sheer shame for such a prestigious and one of the oldest educational institutes. The callous attitude of the management proves that they are party to each and every conspiracy of the Principal. We will see to it that each of the involved person get punished and not a single child become their target”, says the angry parents, teachers and students who are highly disappointed.
