Plea on security to tainted MPs
A trial court on Saturday agreed to hear a plea filed by a resident seeking an order to restrain police and other central forces from providing security to newly-elected MPs.
Citing media reports, the petitioner said that several tainted members of Parliament have been elected in the recently held Lok Sabha elections and they would misuse their official position if given security cover.
Civil judge Prashant Sharma has fixed the matter for hearing on July 25.
