Madhur Bhandarkar, director of upcoming movie Indu Sarkar today appealed to the political parties not look at the movie through political spectrum.
“This movie is cinematic documentation of a significant event in the history of independent India, Bhandarkar said. “I would like to request to everyone including the political parties to kindly keep the movie away from the politics.”
The movie after many speculations and controversies was shown a green-flag by the CBFC and Censor Board.

Describing her role in the upcoming movie, Kirti Kulhari said, “I am playing a role of an orphan girl whose aspiration revolve around having her own family as she is brought up in an orphanage. With the on set of emergency in the country, she takes up a task that she couldn’t think of other wise. This movie is about her struggle during that period.”
