New Delhi, Dec 25, 2022: President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at his memorial ‘Sadaiv Atal’ on his 98th birth anniversary.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Bharatiya Janata Party chief JP Nadda also were present at the Sadaiv Atal memorial to pay floral tributes to the former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
On the occasion of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 98th birth anniversary, PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter and said, “Tributes to Atal Ji on his Jayanti. His contribution to India is indelible. His leadership and vision motivate millions of people.”
The former Prime Minister was born on December 25, 1924, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh and did his masters in political science from Kanpur.
Vajpayee was one of the most influential leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and his persona, poetry and politics were not limited to just India but were known across the globe.
