Greater Noida: Pragyan School Greater Noida celebrated its Senior Annual Day- 2019, ‘Mrichchkatikam’ with vibrancy propelled into magnificent and everberations.The event held in the school auditorium, on 17th November 2019, was presided by the chief guest, Mrs. Padma Iyer Kaul, Retd Sr. Deputy Director General (Department of Telecom).
In her speech she emphasized that India is a young country with young population. We must use this youth to participate adequately and productively in its progress. This could only be achieved once we get focused at young people’s health as a healthy mind lives in healthy body.
She appealed the parents and students to renew our association with food. She appreciated the efforts of the school in grooming students holistically.
The event was also graced by the presence of the school’s Chairperson, Dr. Kusum Chand, Managing Trustee, Mr. Ram Chand, Mentor, Mr. S. P. Bakhshi and members of the Managing Committee. The guests were welcomed through a theme-based foyer where the dignitaries inaugurated and explored an exhibition celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The programme began with the warm welcome of the chief guest with the recitation of ‘Shlokas’ and the auspicious ‘lamp lighting’. The vocal melodies of the school choir “Atha Swagatam Shubha Swagatam” became a spiritual expression to welcome the esteemed guests. The school orchestra enthralled the audience with the soulful rendition of roog ‘jog’ to display the rudra roop of Goddess Durga.
Principal, Ms. Ruchika Sharma presented the annual report highlighting the achievements of the school and the students. 153 Meritorious students in academics and extracurricular activities were felicitated.
The evening commenced with a scintillating Gondhal and Jogwa dances invoking Goddess Durga and her many forms. The magnum opus of the show “Mrichchkatikam” captivated the guests. The audience witnessed a colourful array in the episodic acts of the dance drama. The culmination was marked by a vote of thanks by the school Principal to the guests and parents followed by the National Anthem.
