PUBLICITY CAMPAIGN ON “IHGF-DELHI FAIR – AUTUMN 2014” AT HONG KONG AND CHINA ATTRACTED ATTENTION OF OVERSEAS BUYERS : EPCH

The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts [EPCH], organizers of Asia’s largest fair known as Indian Handicrafts & Gifts fair, has decided to introduce a new look to its 18 years old Handicrafts & Gifts fair as “IHGF-Delhi Fair –Autumn 2014“ with addition of new product categories and larger area.

The publicity campaign launched to promote the revamped “IHGF-Delhi Fair –Autumn 2014” by EPCH during just concluded trade shows at Hong Kong and China has attracted the attention of the buyers visiting Houseware, Textiles and Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair at Hong Kong and Canton fair at Guangzhou at China, said Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director – EPCH.

Promotion during International exhibitions and fairs is one of the strategies of publicity campaign. Hong Kong is known gate way to source products by the importers worldwide. A large number of importers, wholesalers travel to Hong Kong and China in the month of April to source their requirement.

The buyers are quite excited about the forthcoming “IHGF-Delhi Fair-Autumn 2014” to be held from 14 – 18 October, 2014 at India Expo Centre & Mart, National Capital Region of Delhi, Greater Noida. Many of them have given strong indication of visiting the show.

EPCH has also launched publicity campaign in overseas markets like USA, Canada, Europe and Asian Continents to create awareness amongst overseas community worldwide. Apart from releasing advertorials in leading magazines across the globe, publicity campaign in different way has also been initiated by the Council such as through social media further elaborated by thei Executive Director – EPCH.

EPCH is expecting a huge impact of the publicity campaign being undertaken in terms of visit increased number of buyers during “IHGF Delhi Fair” to be held from 14 – 18 October, 2014 at India Expo Mart & Centre, Greater Noida.

Handicrafts exports registered an increase of 30.80% in Rupee terms and 17.55% in dollar terms during 2013-14 over the previous year. The exports during the financial year 2013-14 is Rs. 23,504.42 crores, the Executive Director of EPCH added.
