New Delhi (India), 8th April 2023: In his upcoming feature film, actor R Madhavan will portray the Indian engineer and inventor Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu (GD Naidu).
The first electric motor was produced in India thanks to Naidu, known as the “Edison of India.” He significantly influenced a number of industries, including mechanical, electrical, and agriculture.
Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited, a production company, announced the project on its social media accounts.
They said in a Tweet, “Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited signed with GD Naidu charities to make a Biopic on the life and achievements of Miracle man #GDNaidu with @ActorMadhavan as the lead.”
Krishna Kumar, a filmmaker, has been asked to helm the picture. The goal of the film, according to G.D. Rajkumar, Mr. Naidu’s grandson and the son of G.D. Gopal, managing trustee of GD Naidu Charities, was to encourage young people to pursue careers in science and innovation.
He said, “My grandfather had recorded many details about his life and innovations, which has been put up in the library in the memorial gallery. The movie is an extension of this. We hope to inspire the youth of today towards science and innovations…”
Last seen in the biopic “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.” Madhavan played ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan and is also credited for directing the project.
