Rajasthani Academy Hosts Dance and Painting Competition on Oct 15 to Promote Rajasthani Art and Culture

New Delhi, 13 October: The Rajasthani Academy is organising the 30th Rajasthani folk dance competition and 8th Painting competition on 15th October at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi.

The President, Gaurav Gupta informed that Rajasthani Academy was founded 32 years ago by Late Shri Ram Niwas Lakhotia. The academy is promoting Rajasthani Art and cultural in the capital city of India by organising such events. However, due to the pandemic, the dance competition was not being hosted for the last two years.

Over 250 students from about 27 schools of Delhi and NCR are participating in this year’s Rajasthani folk dance competition. While for the painting competition, about 150 paintings from many schools have already been received. Additionally, the winners will be awarded in the show.

President Gupta has informed that this year 6th Subhash lakhotia Sharwan Kumar Award will be awarded to Sonika Sharma from Mathura. She will be honoured with the Merit Certificate and Rs 1 Lakh in the prestigious award.

The event will be graced in the presence of many countries diplomats, VIPs, his Excellency Dr Roger Gopaul, Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago, Satish Upadhay, Vice Chairman of NDMC, Anil Aggarwal, MP, Dr Sandeep Marwah, Padamshree Nalini Kamlini among many prominent personalities.
