Rajkummar Rao eager to start shooting with Priyanka Chopra for ‘The White Tiger’
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao is eagerly waiting to start the shooting for his next film, The White Tiger with actor Priyanka Chopra. The two will team up for the first time in the movie adaptation of Arvind Adiga’s bestselling novel The White Tiger.
The film will be directed by Ramin Bahrani and produced by Priyanka and Mukul Deora. It will mostly be shot in India and is scheduled to go on floors next month.
At present, Priyanka is in Mumbai to begin the promotional leg of her upcoming film, The Sky Is Pink.
From Rajkummar Rao’s Instagram post, it is quite apparent that the actor just could not hide his excitement about the collaboration with global icon Priyanka Chopra. He had shared a couple of photos posing with Priyanka, Ramin and Adarsh Gourav. He had captioned the post on Instagram stating, “Can’t wait to start #TheWhiteTiger with these supremely talented people. @priyankachopra #RaminBahrani #AdarshGourav #MukulDeora @netflix @NetflixIndia”

Earlier while talking about the project, Priyanka had said, “I’m so excited to work with Ramin Bahrani and Netflix to bring Aravind Adiga’s poignant story to cinematic life. When I read the book, I was fascinated with the perspective of the narrative. The story’s portrayal of raw ambition and the extent one will go to achieve one’s goals is riveting. I look forward to filming this in India this fall and also working along with Rajkummar Rao for the first time and the wonderful cast Ramin is putting together.”
Talking about the project, Rajkummar had said, “It’s an exciting time for actors today and I’m thrilled to be a part of such a world-class project. I’ve been an admirer of Ramin’s work and am excited to see The White Tiger come to life with Netflix!”
