The three-day event features an extensive knowledge-sharing platform with over 26 conference sessions, including the Energy Storage Summit India (ESS India), the CEO Conclave at REI and TBSI 2025 hosted a series of high-impact discussions, bringing together key decision-makers and industry leaders to shape the future of India’s clean energy roadmap. A session on “India’s Roadmap for Advanced Battery Manufacturing and Achieving Self-Reliance” was chaired by A.K. Moderated by Amol Kotwal, Vice President, Energy & Environment Practice, Frost & Sullivan, the session focused on analysing ‘Future technology and cost trends in solar, hybrid, and battery energy storage systems (BESS)’. This was followed by an engaging discussion on “India’s Roadmap for Faster Adoption of EVs and HEVs -Aligning Policies, Investments, and Technologies,” highlighting strategies to accelerate the nation’s transition toward sustainable mobility. The Battery Tech Conference hosted over 100 global experts delving into next-generation materials, technology integration, and strategies to accelerate India’s Net Zero transition. Discussions focused on circular economy practices, second-life battery applications, advanced manufacturing, and cross-sectoral integration between EVs, storage, and bioenergy, reflecting India’s growing focus on energy resilience.

This year’s edition of Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo underscores the industry’s commitment to innovation and strategic growth, marked by several high-impact product unveilings and partnerships. Solis, a long-standing and revered participant at REI, is set to introduce the Solis 125 kW Hybrid Inverter, its largest-ever storage inverter for C&I applications. The new model features advanced 4-in-1 functionality integrating PV generation, high-efficiency battery charge/discharge (up to 200 A), seamless transition between grid, off-grid, and genset modes in under 10 ms, and AI-driven EMS control—designed for smarter and more resilient energy management.

India Crosses 50% Non-Fossil Fuel Power Capacity, Achieves Record 34 GW Addition and Zero Peak Shortage in 2025

India has demonstrated remarkable strength in its power infrastructure, successfully meeting a peak demand of 241 GW in June 2025 with zero peak shortage, signalling another milestone in the nation’s clean-energy transformation. Meanwhile, during FY 2024-25 the country added a record 34 GW of generation capacity, of which approximately 29.5 GW came from renewables. With non-fossil fuel power generation now crossing the 50 % threshold of installed capacity and a robust pipeline of wind, solar and storage projects in motion, India stands poised at the threshold of a deeper transition — from capacity build-out to integration, storage and value-chain localisation.
