Roger Binny to be appointed as new BCCI Chief

Mumbai(11/10/2022): 67-year-old Roger Binny, who is considered one of the 1983 World Cup Hero, is all se to replace Saurav Ganguly, the current BCCI president.

He will be becoming the BCCI President, with Rajiv Shukla as Vice President of the cricket board. Binny along with others has been finalized among the candidates for the office bearer post. The BCCI elections will take place on 18th October.

Roger Binny was an all rounder and emerged as the highest wicket tacker in the world cup tournament, taking almost 18 wickets in 8 games. He was also named to represent Karnataka in the BCCI Annual General Meeting.

Speculations had been rising around Binny being selected as president when the former seamer’s name appeared on the BCCI’s Draft Electoral Rolls for the elections. The scrutiny of the nominations will take place on 13th October.
