Russian Industry & Trade Ministry Official Explores MedTech Collaboration at GIMS Hospital

GREATER NOIDA News (28/11/2025): A senior representative from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation visited GIMS Hospital and the GIMS Incubation Centre to discuss potential collaboration in the field of medical technology and health innovation. The high-level visit aimed at strengthening institutional partnerships and advancing joint research initiatives between India and Russia.

During the visit, officials from GIMS presented their unique public-hospital–based innovation ecosystem, highlighting how the institute supports startups and industry partners from concept to clinical validation. The delegation was briefed on the comprehensive regulatory pathway offered by GIMS, which includes ethical approvals, clinical trials facilitation, and structured support for MedTech product development.

Impressed by the integrated ecosystem, the Russian delegation expressed a strong desire to deepen cooperation with India through official government-to-government channels. They conveyed particular interest in areas such as medical devices, diagnostic technologies, and emerging healthcare solutions.

The visit is being viewed as a positive step toward enhanced bilateral engagement in health innovation. Officials from both sides believe that future collaborations could accelerate cutting-edge MedTech advancements and open new opportunities for industry linkage, joint research, and technology exchange between India and Russia.
