SC to hear nursery plea on Jan 31
The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear petitions by private schools challenging Delhi lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung’s order cancelling management quota in nursery school admissions and framing fresh guidelines for the admission process.
When the petitions sought a stay on the LG’s order, a bench of Justices H L Dattu and S A Bobde said Jung was a noted academician and educationist and he must have meant well while issuing the order. However, it said this would require appreciation of facts and posted the matter for January 31.
