SENSATIONAL CASE OF KIDNAPPING FOR RANSOM OF PS JAITPUR SOLVED IN WHICH ASSAILANTS DEMANDED RANSOM OF RS. 25 CRORES : SEVEN PERSONS ARRESTED : VICTIM DOCTOR AND HIS COMPOUNDER RESCUED SAFELY

Sikni, PS Kisni, Mainpuri, UP; (3) Gaurav aged 24 years s/o Ramesh Chand r/o Vill. Sikni, PS Kisni, Mainpuri, UP; (4) Rahul aged 28 years s/o Ramesh Chand r/o Vill. Sikni, PS Kisni, Mainpuri, UP; (5) Vipin aged 19 years s/o Ram Snehi r/o Vill. Milkhiya, PS Chobia, Etawa, UP; (6) Chattar Pal aged 27 years s/o Brindavan r/o Vill. Jakhira, PS Kalan, Distt. Shahjanpur, UP and (7) Ram Besh @ Parvesh aged 30 years s/o Sodan Singh r/o Vill. Jakhira, PS Kalan, Distt. Shahjanpur, UP, the joint team of South-East District and Special Cell have solved a sensational case of kidnapping for ransom of PS Jaitpur in which a doctor namely Vinod Kumar Verma aged 40 years along with his compounder Ajay aged 21 years were abducted by the assailants on the night of 12.09.16 for getting ransom of Rs. 25 crores. The victim doctor and compounder have been rescued safely. The belongings of victim doctor i.e. cash Rs. 32,000/-, gold chain and mobile phone robbed from the victim and the vehicles used by the assailants have been recovered.
INCIDENT & TEAM
On the afternoon of 13.09.16, one Dr. Anand Prakash Verma r/o Sector 37, Faridabad, Haryana reported that on the night of 12-13/09/16, his son Dr. Vinod Kumar Verma who ran a medical centre at Saurabh Vihar, Jaitpur, Delhi was coming back home along with his compounder Ajay in his car but did not reach home. He suspected that somebody had kidnapped them. Subsequently, a case of abduction vide FIR No. 524/16 was registered at PS Jaitpur. On the next day i.e. 14.09.16 at 12:30 PM, a ransom call from the mobile phone of victim Dr. Vinod Kumar Verma was received on the mobile of complainant in which Rs. 25 crores were demanded for the release of both the hostages.
Seeing the gravity of the case, several teams of South East District consisting of Inspr. Naresh Kumar I/C Spl. Staff/SE, Inspr. Ram Niwas I/C AATS/SE, Inspr. Jarnail Singh SHO/HN Din, Inspr. Ram Sahay Inves./Jaitpur, SI Jitender Malik, SI Sandeep Godara, SI Manmeet, SI Lalit, SI Parvesh and other staff was formed under the supervision of Shri Rajeev Ranjan Addl.DCP-I/SE and Shri M. Harshvardhan Addl.DCP-II/SE and overall supervision of the undersigned.
INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION
The identity of the caller making ransom call could not be established since the caller was using victim’s mobile phone to contact the family. However, the location of mobile phone used by the caller was traced to Etah, UP. One police team was immediately dispatched for the destination to develop intelligence about the culprits. On 15th and 16th some more calls were received from the culprits for demanding ransom but when the complainant showed his inability to pay this huge ransom but after negotiations, the ransom money was reduced to Rs. 39 lacs and the complainant was asked to bring the ransom money to Etah, UP in the evening of 17.09.16. Subsequently, another police teams along with the complainant carrying ransom money reached the destination. In this operation, a team of Special Cell comprising ACP Satbir Dagar, Inspr. Manoj Dixit, Inspr. Shiv Kumar and other staff under the supervision of Shri P.S. Kushwah DCP/Special Cell was also associated.
The callers gave different destinations and timings for delivery of the ransom money but they did not reach any of the given place. The police teams kept their base in Aligarh and Khempl, UP so as to disguise their presence since Etah is a small city. However, the police teams kept on analysing the location of the originating calls made from the mobile phone of victim. The location was zeroed in to the centre place of three districts namely Shahjanpur, Farukhabad and Badayun. The police teams cordoned this place and mounted pressure upon the kidnappers. The teams succeeded in this operation as the kidnappers had already realised that several police teams have surrounded them. In the morning of 18.09.16, they called the complainant that they were leaving this place without the hostages but they still threatened to pay the ransom money after release of the victims. Subsequently, the police teams started hunt for the victims and finally the victims were rescued from the jungles.
After rescuing the hostages, the police teams looked for the suspicious vehicles. The team of Special Cell nabbed two persons from Kayamganj – Farukhabad Road in a car and they were identified as Ram Besh @ Parvesh and Chattar Pal.
During interrogation, they disclosed that the entire conspiracy. On the basis of inputs, the police teams returned back to Delhi and conducted several raids at the locations disclosed by the accused persons in Jaitpur, Delhi and Gurgaon, Haryana and finally succeeded in nabbing another five accused persons namely Mukesh, Manish, Rahul, Gaurav and Vipin.
During further interrogation of the accused persons, it was revealed that accused Manish was living in a rented room near the clinic of Dr. Vinod Verma. About two months back, three persons of his native village had shifted to his room who were in dire need of money. They noticed that Dr. Vinod Verma has good medical practices and earning huge money. So, they planned to kidnap him to earn huge ransom money. Manish also called his two brothers Rahul and Gauran from Gurgaon to join in this plan and also arranged weapons and sedatives. Before executing their plan, they conducted reccee. As per their plan, on the night intervening 12-13/09/16, they followed the doctor’s car on two motorcycles duly equipped with country made arms and sedatives. They hit the doctor’s car 2-3 times and when the doctor stopped his car, they entered his car and also fired one round to scare him and his compounder who was also seated in the car at that time. They injected the doctor and made him unconscious and robbed cash and valuables of the doctor i.e. cash Rs. 1.5 lacs, wrist watch, mobile phone, purse and gold chain. Then, they took them to Etah, UP in his car and handed over both of them to their associates in a sugar cane field, Ali Ganj, UP. They kept on shifting the captives during night in the remote area of Vill. Chakhariya, Sinoli, Compel, Kayamganj etc. When they felt that several police teams have covered them, they decided to leave that place without taking any ransom amount. Subsequent to arrest of these accused persons and their disclosure, sections of drugging, confinement and robbery were also incorporated in the case. The gang leader is still at large.
Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to nab the remaining accused persons and to verify the antecedents of arrested persons.

All the accused persons are semi literate and want to make money by shortcut methods.
