Shocking beginning of 2019 for Bollywood, Veteran actor Kadar Khan passes away at 81

New Delhi: Veteran-Actor Kadar Khan passed away due to prolonged illness at a hospital in Canada at the age of 81, the actor was admitted to the hospital on Friday, following health issues.
“My dad has left us. He passed away on December 31 at 6 pm as per Canadian time due to prolonged illness. He slipped into coma in the afternoon. He was in the hospital for 16-17 weeks. The last rites will be performed here in Canada only. We have our entire family here and we live here so we are doing it,” Khan’s son Sarfaraz told a news agency.
“We are thankful to everyone for their blessings and prayers,” he added.
The last rituals will be performed in Canada as Khan’s family is living there.

Before beginning his film career in the early 1970s, he taught at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai as a professor of Civil Engineering.
In 2013, he was awarded Sahitya Shiromani Award for his work and contributions to Hindi Film industry and Cinema.
Khan was recognized by the AFMI (American Federation of Muslims from India) for his achievement and service to the Muslim community in India.
Afghan-born Indian-Canadian film actor began his film carrier with Yash Chopra’s Daag in 1973.
The power-packed actor has appeared in more than 300 films and has written dialogues for over 250 Indian films.
