New Delhi I April 14, 2017:Sooraj Singh Katoch, chief choreographer with Zenith Dance Institute, is choreographing for IPL Delhi to be held at the Firoz Shah Kotla Stadium on April 15, 2017.
Sooraj has been working non-stop for the past few days with celebrities such as YaamiGautam, Guru Randhava, Raaftar and Moti Khan to put up a spectacular show for the people in the capital. The entire show has been conceptualized by Sooraj Singh Katoch. He has, in fact, developed an exclusive concept for the ceremony, using unique props, storyboarding and dance moves.
Some of the artists have been called from various regions of the world to make the entire event spectacular. Acrobats from Kenya, contortionist from Ethiopia, Ariel artists from Chile are performing to give a remarkable view.
“Conceptualizing and choreographing for IPL’s opening ceremonies have been a different experience all together. Performing in front of thousands of live audience in a packed stadium is unique, and we are seen to raise the entertainment bar of the entire match as well. Reason why I have been doing very different concepts for the IPL ceremonies, be it in Delhi or Indore,” says Sooraj.
Recently, Sooraj choreographed the IPL Indore’s opening ceremony, which has been rated as one of the best amongst the opening ceremonies in IPL so far!At Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, dancers from the troupe had performed with artists such as singer Harshdeep Kaur and Bollywood star DishaPatani on various foot-tapping numbers. The entire show was also choreographed by Sooraj and was a huge hit with the crowd.
A self-learned dancer, Sooraj from a very humble beginning, where managing even two meals a day was a challenge, through his sheer hard work and dedication has today become a successful choreographer and co-founder of Zenith Dance Troupe.
His vision to create a professional dance troupe led him to found Zenith Dance Troupe in 1999, along with Ritu Kapoor. A government-approved dance company, it undertakes major works for national and international stars. The company also does corporate shows nationally and internationally, along with providing exclusive costumes globally.

A self-taught dancer, Sooraj struggled his way through after being in the industry for the past 19 years. For him, dance has been his first love and still remains so. He has also choreographed music albums such as Wakhra Swag with Badshah, All Black with Raftaar, Jimmy Choo with Fazilpuria, and many others. He has also worked with celebrities such as ShahRukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Manish Paul, Neha Dhupia, Eli Avram, DishaPatani and others.
Sooraj and his dancers recently performed at the Filmfare awards in Mohali, working with Bollywood stars such as Surveen Kaur, Manish Paul, DiljitDosanjh and other Punjabi artists.
