India, (6/12/2018): To sensitize today’s youth and to inculcate positive vibes of harmony, love and cooperation- i.e. the real sense of feeling to live in other’s shed and feel their pain, Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, Faridabad organised a visit to ‘Sukriti Vridhaavaas’ on Wednesday 05 Dec,2018. Vidyapeeth’s School of Commerce & Management and NSS Club, has jointly organised a social outreach trip, where the students and faculties spent a day at “Sukriti Vridhaavaas” under the association of Welfare of Handicapped in NIT Faridabad. The place is a home for 35 elders and 20 children.
Faculty and Students interacted with old people residing there and played many games with them. Old People living their shared their stories and were delighted in meeting them and interacting with them. Faculties and students also organised lunch and snacks for residents over there. They enjoyed having lunch together.
A drawing competition was also organised for the children residing there and gifts were also distributed to them. In today’s era, it is very important to develop moral and ethical values amongst the students and such activities help in inculcating such values in the future of country. The whole programme was successfully organised under the supervision of Ms. Krity Gulati Mehta, Head of the Department, School of Commerce & Management and Ms. Hema Gupta, NSS Coordinator, Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth.
