The last date for Income Tax return for 2018-19 extended till June 30: Sitharaman

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday announced that the last date for Income Tax return for 2018-19 has been extended till June 30 amid the coronavirus pandemic. She added that interest rate for delayed payment has been reduced from 12 % to 9%, while interests for delayed deposit of TDS have been reduced to 9% from 18%.
