The Zoya Factor first trailer: Unlucky Sonam is Indian cricket team ‘lucky charm’
New Delhi: The first trailer of Sonam Kapoor’s The Zoya Factor has finally been released today afternoon. The fans had been patiently waiting for it after being treated with the film’s posters, promos and teasers.
The trailer showcases Sonam as a struggling advertisement executive who is unhappy with her professional and personal life. She can also be seen complaining about her love life and how unlucky she has been.
However, Sanjay Kapoor who is her father in the film considers her lucky as when she was born, Indian cricket team had won the ICC World Cup in 1983. On the flipside, Zoya hates cricket and does not want to be associated with cricket but eventually she becomes a lucky charm for the team. And interestingly, she ends up finding the love of her life in the form of Indian cricket team captain, played by Dulquer.

The Zoya Factor is based on the novel with the same name, written by Anuja Chauhan. Apart from Sonam playing the main lead, the film star cast includes Dulquer Salmaan, Sanjay Kapoor and Angad Bedi in pivotal roles. Directed by Abhishek Sharma, The Zoya Factor is set to release on Setember 20 in the theatres.
Sharing the trailer on her twitter account, Sonam tweeted, “The wait for good luck in your life is almost over. Aa raha hai #TheZoyaFactorTrailer. Tune in at 1 PM TODAY!”
Sharing Zoya’s character, the makers revealed a video on the lines of telemarketing advertisements for spiritual charms.
