New Delhi, 24 September 2022: In the Connaught Place area, Delhi police has found a man’s severely decomposed body in an underground water tank.
The body was found in the back of the Emporium market in Connaught Place.
Amrutha Guguloth, Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi stated, “The man’s body is severely decayed, and he appeared to be in his 40s. The body has been sent for post-mortem to hospital.”
The incident came to light after a repair team arrived today to clean the tank, according to the police. They found that the tank’s lock was breached, and a body was discovered inside.
Soon after, police said that it was a CPWD water tank that the fire department could use in an emergency.
According to officials, the body has not yet been identified and no obvious signs of trauma were found.
