Greater Noida (22/12/2018) : A free medical check-up system will be available at every CNG station for auto and taxi drivers of Delhi-NCR. Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan, made this appeal to IGL Indraprastha Gas Limited Managing Director E.S. Ranganathan in a program of CNG and PNG distributor company IGL on Friday. This appeal was immediately accepted by Ranganathan.

According to a news agency, Pradhan said that “auto and taxi drivers make the biggest contribution to IGL’s profits. As company doesn’t have much reach in supplying LNG to a large number of households, so the actual profit originates from CNG.” Further he added that “it’s not possible for auto drivers to bear a loss of a day while going for a checkup and so they are not aware of their eyesight becoming dim and blood pressure getting abnormal.”

The minister praised the company for reducing the waiting time for getting connections to two to three weeks in Delhi-NCR. He said in year 2014, when he had taken the charge at that time people had to wait years for getting a connection.

Ranganathan told that IGL has recently crossed the figure of having 10 lakh customers. During the program the 10th lakhs costumer was also got awarded. Apart from this, some auto drivers and PNG customers who had made highest amount of their payment digitally were also rewarded.
