Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar inaugurates ELECRAMA 2025 at India Expo Mart

Greater Noida (22 February 2025): Marking a significant milestone in India’s energy landscape, the world’s largest electrical exhibition, ELECRAMA 2025, commenced at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. Organized by the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), this 16th edition of the prestigious event is set to be a game-changer in the fields of power technology, sustainability, and grid modernization.

The inaugural session featured distinguished industry leaders, including Oliver Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric; Matthias Rebellius, CEO of Siemens Smart Infrastructure; Sunil Singhvi, President of IEEMA; Vikram Gandotra, President (Elect) and Chairman, ELECRAMA 2025; and Siddharth Bhutoria, Vice President, IEEMA and Vice Chairman, ELECRAMA 2025

Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister of Power and Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, inaugurated the event, reaffirming the government’s commitment to fortifying India’s energy infrastructure. Speaking at the opening ceremony, he stated, “India is poised to become the world’s third-largest economy by 2027 and a fully developed nation by 2047. Power is the cornerstone of this transformation. With an installed renewable energy capacity surpassing 200 GW and an ambitious goal of 500 GW by 2030, we are taking significant strides in sustainability. Expanding EV infrastructure, integrating Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology, and digitalizing the power sector will be pivotal in this transition.”

Oliver Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric, lauded India’s progress, stating, With the rapid proliferation of artificial intelligence, data centers, and industrial expansion, there is an unprecedented demand for innovative energy solutions. India’s strong manufacturing ecosystem and skilled workforce position it as a global leader in energy transition. Emphasizing the evolving landscape of India’s power sector, Matthias Rebellius, CEO of Siemens Smart Infrastructure, remarked, India is at a turning point, where digitalization and clean energy adoption are redefining its power industry.
