Union Minister Suresh Prabhu praises Mithali & Co for raising image of Indian Women’s Cricket on globe

Indian women Cricket team were beaten by mere 9 runs in the final of the ICC Women’s World Cup, with many considering the run as one of the best in the history of women’s cricket.

Reiterating the World Cup final incident, Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu said that, Indian women Cricket team did not win the World Cup, however have won the hearts of every Indian.

He further said that, Cricket is converting into Women’s sport and in future would be known as Girl’s sport. Girls enjoyed receiving huge amount of appreciation , it is just a beginning of good time for women’s cricket. They always deserved this attention, he added.
