UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak hails Samachar4Media for recognizing promising Hindi Journalists

New Delhi, 29 April 2022: The Samachar4Media hosted the first edition of the ‘Hindi Patrakar 40 Under 40 Awards’ on Thursday in New Delhi. The event felicitated young and promising Hindi journalists who showcased their work, leadership, contribution to the news industry.

While addressing the awardees, Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh said, “We are in that stage, where the youth are knocking on our doors for opportunities and we should inspire them for a bright future. I am happy that Anurag Batra has thought about these young professionals and is awarding for their valuable contribution.”

In his address, Anurag Batra, Chairman , Exchange4Media Group said, “All our awards goes through the jury. Several people have a question about why different awards for Hindi and English Journalism. It is important to understand that both the streams have their own limitations and work style. Therefore, giving different awards is better. At the same time, motivating the young journalist is also important for making a bright future of journalism.”

The event entailed debates on several issues such as the growing influence of Digital media where the panel members engaged in the argument on importance of broadcast reporting over digital news.

The Information Commissioner of Government of India, Uday Mahurkar stressed on the communal tensions in India, he said that individuals should try to look at the reason behind it. “After investigation, I found that there was one side that was unprovoked while the other side was creating the ruckus. It is the duty of the journalist to not just report the incidents but also try to find the crux of the riot and understand the political history of it. For instance, the protest of Shaheen Bagh,” said Uday Mahurkar.

Exchange4Media featured Aashukesh Tiwari, Abhishek Dixit, Arvind Singh, Anurag Mishra, Apoorva Srivastava, Arvind Kumar Ojha, Ashutosh Mishra, Chitra Tripathi, Keshav Kumar, Milan Sharma in the Top 10 Hindi Patrakarita 40 Under 40.

The event was graced by esteemed and veteran Journalists including Ved Prakash Vaidik, Supriya Prasad, Deepak Chaurasia, DG IIMC Prof Sanjay Dwivedi, Gajanan Mali, Founder, TEN NEWS NETWORK amongst others.
